Abstract

From 1971 through 1984 in the Orthopaedic Department of the Rheumaklinik, Bad Bramstedt, 977 knee endoprostheses were implanted — the great majority in rheumatoid arthritis patients. Surface replacement was used as well asjhe hinge of the “St. Georg” type, and after 1978 a constrained total joint with migrating axis.
