Thrombolytische Therapie des akuten Herzinfarkts

Zusammenfassung

In der Bundesrepublik Deutschland sterben jährlich mehr als 80 000 Menschen aufgrund eines akuten Myokardinfarktes. Haupttodesursachen sind Rhythmusstörungen und Herzinsuffizienz. Mit Einführung der Intensivstationen in den Jahren von 1960–1970 konnte die Myokardinfarktsterblichkeit von etwa 30 auf 15% vermindert werden. Während Herzrhythmusstörungen besser erkannt und behandelt werden konnten, blieb die Sterblichkeit durch Herzinsuffizienz und kardiogenen Schock unverändert hoch.
