Conclusions and Speculations on the Neural Guidance of Visual Behavior in Salamanders
The preceding chapters have shown that a considerable amount of data have been accumulated on behavior, neurophysiology, and neuroanatomy related to vision in salamanders, especially with regard to visually guided feeding behavior. The main question will now be to what degree this knowledge can be put together to form a reasonable concept for neural guidance of visual behavior. Feeding behavior will again be in the center of these considerations.
