Zusammenfassung
Bietet die heutige ökonomische Theorie eine gesicherte Erklärung für das „Paradigma eines stabilen Gleichgewichts“; genauer gesagt, erweist sich die Mathematik bei einer solchen Erklärung als nützlich? Diese Fragen werden in dem vorliegenden Beitrag diskutiert.
Dieser Beitrag beruht auf meinem Vortrag „Equilibrium Analysis of Large Economies“, den ich auf dem International Congress of Mathematicans 1986 an der University of California, Berkeley, gehalten habe.
