Zusammenfassung

Die Corticosteroid-Therapie greift in alle wesentlichen Pathomechanismen der entzündlich-rheumatischen Immunopathien ein und hat daher bei allerdings strenger Differentialindikation und -kontraindikation einen hohen Stellenwert bei der medikamentösen Behandlung der systemischen Kollagenosen, der systemischen chronischen Oligo- und Polyarthritiden sowie der systemischen Polymyalgia rheumatica (Polymyalgia arteriitica).
