Zusammenfassung

Das Erythema nodosum ist ein klinisch gut definiertes Krankheitsbild. Die charakteristischen geröteten Knoten sind hart und gut tastbar, meist schmerzhaft (Abb. 1). Ihre Größe schwankt zwischen Kirschkern- bis Pflaumengröße. Ihre Farbe kann von einem entzündlichen Rot über livide Rottöne bis zu gelblich-bräunlichen Tönen reichen, im letzteren Fall häufig in der Farbnuancierung an Hämatome erinnernd (Abb. 2), weshalb auch gelegentlich die Bezeichnung Erythema contusiforme verwendet wird. In der Regel sind die knotigen Indurationen symmetrisch an den Unterschenkelstreckseiten lokalisiert.
