Interstellar Magnetic Fields — Past, Present and Future

  • Conference paper
Interstellar Magnetic Fields

Abstract

Interstellar magnetic fields have become popular in astrophysics in recent years, stimulated by a significant improvement of the observational techniques in the radio and optical range and a refinement of theoretical models. It now seems promising to attack the question of the origin of magnetic fields and their influence on the dynamics of the interstellar medium.
