Abstract

The presence of these lesions can frequently be suspected from the serosal surface of the uterus as a mass in the uterine hom. When the utems is incised, these lesions are seen as excrescences projecting into the uterine cavity. Occasionally, when it arises in the body of the utems close to the cervix, the polyp will protmde through the cervix and will be visible from the vagina. Such lesions are often described grossly as cervical polyps. These tumors are frequently solitary but may be multiple. They can occur in either uterine hom or in the uterine body. Occasionally, they appear to arise in the cervix.
