Zusammenfassung
Bei der Erfassung und Interpretation intestinaler Funktionen im Schock ist folgender Dualismus zu berücksichtigen: Die prominenten intestinalen Organe Leber, Pankreas, Magen-Darm-Trakt sowie, in enger Nachbarschaft und neurovaskulär dem Splanchnikusgebiet zuzurechnen, die Nieren stellen dem Organismus vitale Funktionen, sie sind damit einerseits empfindliche Zielorgane des Schocks, andererseits können aber gerade die genannten Organe, in erster Linie der Darm, mit dem zunehmenden Verlust ihrer physiologischen Funktion sich zu schockunterhaltenden oder garerzeugenden Mediatororganen entwickeln.
