Summary
A successful treatment of graft infections in vascular surgery needs the knowledge about all techniques of peripheral vessel reconstruction. The infected graft threatens not only the blood circulation of dependent areas, but also the lives of the often multimorbide patients. Alow amputation rate can be achieved by restoring blood circulation of the deep femoral artery. The treatment of these patients should only be performed in vascular surgery centers.
Zusammenfassung
Die erfolgreiche gefäßchirurgische Versorgung eines Protheseninfektes erfordert die Kenntnis über die gesamte Palette der peripheren Revaskularisationsmöglichkeiten. Der Protheseninfekt birgt in sich nicht nur eine akute Gefährdung des abhängigen Versorgungsbereiches, sondern auch Gefahr für das Leben der meist polymorbiden Patienten. Das Erzielen einer niedrigen Amputationsrate kann durch Erhalt des Pro-fundakreislaufes erreicht werden. Die operative Versorgung dieses Patientengutes sollte ausschließlich in gefäßchirurgischen Zentren durchgeführt werden.
