Zusammenfassung

Für die Substanz Tetrachlordecaoxid (TCDO), besser bekannt unter dem Handelsnamen Oxoferin, wurde in einigen klinischen Studien in den letzten Jahren eine therapeutische Wirksamkeit bei der lokalen Wundbehandlung beschrieben (2). Kühne und Müller-Wiefel (3) postulierten, daß TCDO neben seinen Effekten bei der lokalen Wundbehandlung auch eine Wertigkeit in der intraoperativen lokalen Infektionsprophylaxe haben müßte. Demgegenüber sind Berichte zu erwähnen, in denen die Verbindung TCDO mit Natriumhypochlorit (NaCLO), Natriumchlorit (NaC102) und Natriumchlorat (NaC103) verglichen wurde (1) und die Existenz eines TCDO-Komplexes überhaupt bestritten wurde.
