Zusammenfassung
Der Begriff „mykotisches Aneurysma“wurde erstmals 1885 von Sir William Osler geprägt. Es handelt sich hierbei um ein bakteriell verursachtes Krankheitsbild, das häufiger an der Aorta als an den peripheren Arterien auftritt (6). Pathologisch ist eine Abgrenzung von den luetischen, oft im Bereich des Aortenbogens lokalisierten Aneurysmen, sowie von den inflammatorischen Aortenaneurysmen erforderlich. Unsere Untersuchung befaßt sich mit den primären mykotischen Aneurysmen im Gegensatz zu den sekundären, die z.B. im Rahmen einer Protheseninfektion entstehen. Die Analyse des eigenen Krankengutes erfolgt vor dem Hintergrund einer kontrovers geführten Diskussion über das geeignete Therapiekonzept bei unvermindert hoher perioperativer Letalität(1–3).
