Lokale Immunschwäche. Es ist für die normale Sehkraft wesentlich, daß die optische Achse nur durch transparente Medien verl0äuft (Abb. 188). Man kann daher verstehen, warum die Kornea, die vordere Augenkammer, Linse und Glaskörper nicht mit Lymphbahnen, Blutgefäßen und Entzündungszellen ausgestattet sind. Daraus ergibt sich, daß der Augapfel immunologisch schwach ist und die Gewebe des Auges normal rweise keine Entzündungsreaktion einleiten können.
