Zusammenfassung
Bei der Bildung von Harnsteinen spielen drei Prozesse eine entscheidende Rolle: die Nukleation, das Kristallwachstum und die Agglomeration (2). Diese Prozesse werden von den physikalisch-chemischen Bedingungen im Harn beeinflußt. So kann eine Imbalanz zwischen Promotoren und Inhibitoren im Harn als Erklärung für die Steinbildung herangezogen werden (1,8). Daher ist die Prüfung des Einflusses von Additiven auf die Steinbildung notwendig, um daraus Maßnahmen für die Steintherapie und Rezidivprophylaxe abzuleiten.
