Rehabilitationsprobleme bei älteren Patienten mit rheumatoider Arthritis

Zusammenfassung

Ältere Rheumapatienten repräsentieren wegen ihrer großen Zahl, aber auch wegen der allgemeinen und rheumatologischen Multimorbidität eine außerordentlich wichtige Krankheitsgruppe. Wenn im Alter auch die degenerativeh rheumatischen Erkrankungen deutlich überwiegen, so sind auch entzündlich-rheumatische Leiden mit Beginn im höheren Lebensalter keine Seltenheit (6, 12, 14). Geht man von einer Morbiditätsrate der rheumatoiden Arthritis von 1–3% aus und vergegenwärtigt man sich, daß 10–20% aller Polyarthritiker im Alter von über 60 Jahren erkranken (10, 16), so wird die Bedeutung dieser sogenannten Spätformen ersichtlich.
