Zusammenfassung
Die Populationsgenetik ist die Wissenschaft von der Verteilung der Gene sowie von der Erhaltung und Veränderung ihrer Anzahl in der Bevölkerung. Das Zeitmaß des Populationsgenetikers ist die Generation, d. h. etwa 30 Jahre (elterliches Durchschnittsalter bei Geburt des ersten Kindes). Dieses Thema ist für alle medizinischen Praktiker wegen seiner Auswirkung auf die Evolution des Menschen relevant.
