Eine korrekte Diagnose ist oft allein durch den klinischen und sonographischen Befund möglich. In vielen Fällen ist jedoch zur exakten, schnellen und patientenschonenden Diagnosefindung oder zur Sicherung der Diagnose eine sonographisch geführte Aspirationspunktion erforderlich.
