Zusammenfassung

Neben dem Ausschluß zugrunde liegender metabolischer Störungen wie primärer Hyperparathyreoidismus, renale tubuläre Azidose, primäre Hyperoxalurie und der verschiedenen Hyperkalzurien gilt die genaue Steinanalyse als Grundlage für jede medikamentöse präventive Maßnahme in der Metaphylaxe bei Steinpatienten. Dank modemer Untersuchungsmethoden wie Röntgendiffraktion oder Infrarotspektroskopie sind wir in der Lage, beim Kalziumoxalatstein die verschiedenen Hydratstufen sogar quantitativ anzugeben. 1st diese genaue Differenzierung lediglich ein Nebenprodukt unseres tech-nischen Könnens oder beeinflußt sie die metaphylaktische Therapie?
