Zusammenfassung

Die chronische Polyarthritis (cP) gilt sehr oft als eine schmerzhafte Dauererkrankung, die unweigerlich zu einer mehr oder weniger ausgeprägten Invalidität führen soll. Deshalb wird eine klinische Besserung meist dem letztgegebenen Pharmakon zugeschrieben. Der Spontanverlauf der cP ist jedoch nicht so eindeutig bestimmt. Ihn besser zu kennen ist unumgänglich, um die Indikation für das Verschreiben potentiell toxischer Medikamente stellen zu können und um die Wirksamkeit neuer Basistherapeutika zu beweisen.
