Abstract
The basic considerations in use of antibiotics for biliary tree infections are that the antibiotic:
-
1.
should be active against the pathogens causing the disease,
-
2.
should be active in conditions (i.e., bile) of the infection,
-
3.
should be delivered at site of infection in appropriate concentration,
-
4.
should be present in an active molecular form.
