Zusammenfassung

Die vorangehende Darstellung der C-Reaktionssequenz bei der Immunhämolyse ging von dem historisch gewachsenen Konzept aus. Bis vor wenigen Jahren war man überzeugt, daß allein die Aktivierung von C1 durch Ag-Ak-Komplexe die C-Reaktion in Gang setzen kann, und daß nur über eine C1-Aktivierung auch die anderen Komponenten aktiviert werden können. Wir wissen heute, daß dieser Zugang zur C-Reaktion und ihren biologischen Auswirkungen nur einer von mehreren ist und vielleicht nicht einmal der bedeutendste.
