Abstract
Photodissociation of Na2 + in a well defined vibrational level is studied for laser intensities ranging from 1011 W/cm2 up to 1014 W/cm2. Two intensity dependent competing processes are observed: photodissociation by laser-induced potentials and by Coulomb explosion.
