Zusammenfassung
In traditionellen Ansätzen zu paralleler oder verteilter Verarbeitung werden meist wohlstrukturierte Probleme vollständig in einer Programmierumgebung implementiert. Im Gegensatz dazu ist es bei der Entwicklung großer Musteranalysesysteme meist erforderlich, viele heterogene Software-Module zu einem Gesamtsystem zu integrieren. Wir stellen ein Kommunikationssystem für verteilte Anwendungen vor, das speziell für diesen Zweck entwickelt wurde. Es erlaubt vollständig symmetrische Modulinteraktion, verwendet strukturierte und typisierte Daten und stellt verschiedene Aufrufsemantiken zur Verfügung. Die Leistungsfähigkeit des Systems wird anhand der Entwicklung des Prototyps eines „situierten künstlichen Kommunikators“demonstriert.
