Abstract

From 1990 through 1992 the Institute for the Water and Environmental Problems (IWEP), and other institutes of the Siberian Division of the Russian Academy of Sciences, has conducted a research program devoted to assessing water management and ecological state of the Tom River and its basin. River stretches lain therein are also under heavy pollutant load and sometimes experience shortages of water.
