Current Status of Ankle Arthroplasty

Abstract

The frequency of ankle joint involvement in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) varies between 15% and 50% [1, 3]. Joint destruction and functional ten* don insufficiency lead to joint instability and severe hind-foot deviation with a pes plano-valgus deformity [4].
