Cathode Lens Spectromicroscopy with a Low-Energy Electron Microscope

Abstract

An imaging band pass filter added to the Clausthat low energy electron microscope (LEEM) makes cathode lens spectromicroscopy with high spatial resolution possible. The performance as well as the limitations of the spectromicroscope are discussed and compared with the standard imaging modes of the instrument.
