Zusammenfassung

Die Resektion des Bronchialkarzinoms ist die effektivste Therapieform, um den Primärtumor kurativ zu entfernen. Die Strahlentherapie auch in Kombination mit der Chemotherapie erreicht eine Palliation, und in wenigen ausgewählten Fällen kann eine Kuration erzielt werden. Beim fortgeschrittenen nichtkleinzelligen Bronchialkarzinom (NSCLC) erzielt die Chemotherapie palliative Effekte, Kuration wurde bisher in Kombination von Chirurgie und Strahlentherapie beschrieben. Die Biologie des nichtkleinzelligen Bronchialkarzinoms ermöglicht eine kurative Resektion nach onkologischen Kriterien bei etwa 30% der Patienten.
