Abstract

The single CT sections from the OAM dataset have already shown that, contrary to what is generally believed, the zones of greatest density do not lie in the lateral, sagittally directed part of the joint surface, but anteriorly in the medial, frontally directed region. The cancellous structure of the lateral facet of the joint contained trabeculae arranged like pointed arches.
