Abstract
The barrier heights and tunnel frequencies for CH3. groups in a homologous series of ketones and some related organic solids have been measured by NMR and INS spectroscopy. The observed barrier heights for chemically and physically distinguishable methyl groups have been interpreted and correlated with the molecular and electronic structure.
