Photoinduced TE-TM Mode Conversion in Ti:LiNbO3 Waveguides

Abstract

In a c-propagating Ti/LiNbO3 waveguide, a photoinduced space-charge field along the a-axis causes a rotation of the light polarization direction (TE- to TM mode) of a guided mode.
