Abstract

Searching for ways to intensify the interfacial heat and mass exchange processes is one of the most significant problems of modern chemical and electrochemical technology. The extremal behaviour of the interfacial exchange (extremal with respect to the thermodynamic balance) is the most important part of this investigation [1,2]. For the solution of technological problems the utilization of regular dissipative structures is of great interest, firstly because of the very high efficiences of power consumption for these processes, and secondly due to the principal possibility of obtaining a quantitative kinetic description of the interfacial heat and mass exchange without requiring a model for the case of dissipative structures. A further aim is to develop reliable methods for increasing the efficiency of the equipment by using this description.
