Zusammenfassung
Unter Malabsorption versteht man einen klinisch definierten Zustand, bei dem der Körper infolge mangelnder Aufnahme aus dem Darm in eine negative Bilanz für die verschiedenen Nährstoffe, Vitamine, Elektrolyte und Spurenelemente gerät. Dieser Zustand führt früher oder später zu mangelbedingten Krankheitszuständen. Sie sind gekennzeichnet durch eine Vielfalt von Symptomen, die durch das Fehlen einzelner oder mehrerer lebenswichtiger Bestandteile der Nährung erklärt werden können. Die Symptomatik wird bestimmt von häufigen voluminösen Diarrhöen und Steathorrhöen.
