Abstract
The dynamic behaviour of output couplers in high power CO2-lasers with power levels in excess of 1 kW has been investigated by means of Interferometry. The deformation of the front- and back-surface of a ZnSe-partial reflector could be confirmed. When examining, the transmitted wavefront, the bulk material clearly shows a power-correlated behaviour. The impact of these measurements on laser optics will be discussed.
