Abstract

At the beginning the long-lasting stagnation concerning improvements in the treatment of bronchial cancer was stressed. Now, as before, there have been few successful long-term effects (10%). Tobacco-induced cancer is to be overcome mostly by prevention. The discussion therefore concentrated on the possibilities of primary prevention. The following points were discussed in some detail.
