Zusammenfassung

Die Pilzinfektion des Ohres, Otomykose, ist eine Erkrankung des äußeren Gehörganges (bei intaktem Trommelfell) oder von Operationshöhlen. Im Gegensatz zu Pilzinfektionen des Mittelohres ist der Befall des äußeren Gehörganges häufig und verläuft, abgesehen von immunsupprimierten Patienten, durchwegs harmlos. Ein Übergreifen einer mykotischen Gehörgangsinfektion auf das Mittelohr bei defektem Trommelfell, bei chronischer Otitis media oder Radikaloperationshöhlen ist möglich.
