Zusammenfassung

Die Tympanosklerose ist jedem Otologen wohl bekannt. Das Krankheitsbild tritt in drei verschiedenen Schweregraden auf. In der leichtesten Form bestehen umschriebene Kalkeinlagerungen im Trommelfell oder in der Promontorialschleimhaut. Das Vollbild der Tympanosklerose geht mit Ablagerungen von Kalkplatten an allen Teilen der Pauke einher, an den Gehörknöchelchen, an der Chorda tympani, an der knöchernen Wand des N. facialis und des lateralen Bogenganges sowie an der Schleimhaut der Nische des ovalen Fensters. In der schwersten Form besteht ein Nebeneinander von Cholesteatom und Tympanosklerose.
