Zusammenfassung

Schmerzen im Bereich des zervikookzipitalen Überganges können zu Kopfschmerzen führen (Abb. 1). Beweisend dafür sind Effekte gezielter Therapie, sowie mechanische, chemische und elektrische Provokationsmanöver (Williams und Elkins 1942, Wolff 1972, Caillet 1977, Travell und Simons 1983, Lewit 1984). Auch Störungen kaudaler Abschnitte der Halswirbelsäule und oberen Thoraxpartie können, offensichtlich über Sekundärstörungen im Bereich des zervikookzipitalen Überganges, Kopfschmerzen auslösen.
