Die atlantoaxial Instabilität stellt ein besonderes therapeutisches Problem dar. Dieses ergibt sich aus der komplexen Anatomie, der Gefahr einer medullären Schädigung sowie der differenzierten statischen und Bewegungsfunktion der oberen Halswirbelsäule.
