Abstract
We present the first results of application of the method of close-coupling equations to the fundamental radiative collision process of e + H+ scattering in a laser field. Both elastic scattering and the photon absorption cross-sections are given. The prominent features of the cross-sections are the new “capture-escape resonances” involving the Rydberg states of the neutral H atom.
