Zusammenfassung

Der N. femoralis (Abb. 157) bildet sich innerhalb der Muskelmasse des Psoas major aus den Rr. anteriores der Nn. lumbales II–IV. Er tritt einige Zentimeter proximal des Leistenbandes aus dem lateralen Rand des Psoas major aus und zieht in der Furche zwischen diesem und dem M. iliacus abwärts in das Trigonum femorale, bedeckt von Faszien und Peritoneum. Der intrapelvine Nervenabschnitt befindet sich rechts hinter der Ileozäkalregion, links hinter dem Colon sigmoideum, und entläßt Muskeläste für den M. psoas (der außerdem Äste von den Spinalnerven L2 und L3 erhält) sowie den M. iliacus. Ein weiterer Muskelast verläuft unter dem Leistenband in der Lacuna vasorum zum M. pectineus. Der Hauptstamm durchquert die Lacuna musculorum und zieht knapp lateral von der A.
