Nervus cutaneus femoris lateralis

Zusammenfassung

Der rein sensible N. cutaneus femoris lateralis kann in seinem Verlauf zwischen Wirbelsäule und Leistenband durch unterschiedliche pathologische Prozesse komprimiert werden. Von diesen sekundären Kompressionsneuropathien ist das eigentliche Engpaßsyndrom des Nervs in der Leiste, die Meralgia paraesthetica, begrifflich zu trennen. „Über isolirt im Gebiete des N. cutaneus femoris externus vorkommende Parästhesien“ berichtete erstmals Bernhardt 1895. Er äußerte die Auffassung, daß diese Schäden wahrscheinlich toxisch-infektiös bedingt seien. Roth berichtete im gleichen Jahr über 14 weitere Fälle. Er war von der mechanischen Ursache dieser Nervenstörung überzeugt und prägte den Begriff „Meralgia paraesthetica“. Bei Mumenthalers (1974) untersuchten 1574 nichttraumatischen mechanischen Läsionen peripherer Nerven kam die Meralgia paraesthetica in 5,8% der Fälle vor. Die bekannteste Persönlichkeit mit einer Meralgia paraesthetica dürfte Sigmund Freud gewesen sein. Er teilte seine eigenen Beschwerden kurz nach Bernhardts Beschreibung mit (1895).
