Zusammenfassung

Die Frage nach kognitiven Antezedenzien von Willkürhandlungen zielt auf einen Bereich, in dem sich kognitionspsychologische Probleme mit Themen der Motivations- und Willensforschung treffen. In der Kognitionspsychologie - je-denfalls in einigen ihrer gegenwärtigen Strömungen — zeichnet sich seit einigen Jahren die Einsicht ab, daß kognitive Prozesse sich nicht angemessen verstehen lassen, solange der Rahmen des Handelns unberücksichtigt bleibt, in dem sie sich abspielen (z.B. Allport, 1987; MacKay, 1985; Neisser, 1976; Neumann, 1980, 1985a; Prinz, 1983; von Hofsten, 1985). Die Einbeziehung intentionaler Momente ist aus unserer Perspektive für die Kognitionspsychologie eine wichtige Ergänzung. Ob Entsprechendes für eine kognitionspsychologische Erweiterung der Volitionsforschung gilt, können andere besser beurteilen.
