Stimulus Choice and Rationale

  • Chapter
Cognitive Synthesis Test

Abstract

The objects represented on the eight cards have been divided into three categories: natural elements, objects of time, communication and measurement, and utilitarian items (e.g., tools). The first group are constant forces and elements which belong to the world of nature and which symbolize the universal identification process with natural phenomena. These elements have a significant impact because they respond to their own physical laws independent of human control.
