Abstract

The model we have constructed in the last several lectures was based upon a single locus. At one locus, we have concluded that the value of genotype AiAi* is the sum of its breeding value plus a deviation due to the effect of dominance. In symbols,

$${G_{ii*}} = {A_{ii*}} + {D_{ii*}}.$$
