Die Arzneimittelinteraktion oder die verstärkte Arzneimittelinteraktion bei eingeschränkter Nierenfunktion; Wirkungsort ist hierbei der gesamte Organismus.

Arzneimittelinteraktionen, die nephrotoxisch wirken. Dabei könnten, theoretisch gesehen, durch die Interaktion primär nichtnephrotoxische Arzneimittel nephrotoxisch werden oder bereits nephrotoxische Arzneimittel sich in ihrer Nephrotoxizität addieren oder gar potenzieren. Schließlich könnte die Nephrotoxizität eines Arzneimittels durch die Interaktion mit einem nichtnephrotoxischen Arzneimittel gesteigert werden. Die Betrachtung der Interaktion nephrotoxischer Arzneimittel setzt die Kenntnis der nephrotoxischen Wirkung einzelner Arzneimittel voraus.
Aus dieser Sicht ergeben sich 3 Punkte:
