Zusammenfassung

Die psychovegetativen Funktionen des Patienten werden durch Grund- und Begleiterkrankungen, aber auch durch die Funktionsabläufe auf einer Intensivstation beeinflußt. In der Situation einer vitalen Bedrohung sollen daher Sedierung und Analgesierung bei möglichst flacher Hypnose zur Indifferenz des Patienten führen. Er soll kooperativ und aktivierbar bleiben, die Mißlichkeiten unabwendbarer, intensiv-therapeutischer Maßnahmen aber tolerieren und auf keinen Fall unter ihnen leiden.
