Quenching of Gamow-Teller Strength and a Microscopic Derivation of the Effective Δ33-Nucleon Interaction

Abstract

Subnuclear degrees of freddom have been an exciting topic in nuclear physics during the last ten years. The present review concentrates on the possible role of the Δ33-resonance in reducing magnetic strength in nuclei.
