Zusammenfassung
Das Syndrom der Bulimie hat in den letzten 10 Jahren in Klinik, Forschung und Öffentlichkeit zunehmend an Bedeutung gewonnen. Es ist anzunehmen, daß diese Entwicklung nicht nur ein vermehrtes Interesse an diesem Krankheitsbild widerspiegelt, sondern auch Ausdruck einer tatsächlichen Zunahme der Erkrankungshäufigkeit ist (Fichter 1985).
