Abstract

The host and the parasite are the two biological entities involved in the host-parasite interrelationship. The studies on the genetics of resistance in the host and pathogenicity in the pathogen are important to understand the basic aspects of the interrelationships of host and parasite. Depending on the type of interaction, the breeding/management strategies of resistance described in Chap. 6 could be framed.
