Abstract

Until now no study has been performed in the Federal Republic of Germany relating primary cancer of the liver to population data. The present study is based on data from the Saarland Cancer Registry. Furthermore, cases of primary liver cancer (PLC) were obtained from two Institutes of Pathology serving the same region, which has a population of one million.
